Stun Guns are a non lethal way to fend off an attacker.

As stun guns have gained popularity over the past several years, the stun gun manufacturers and models have increased as well.

You may see stun guns in magazines claiming 4 million volts, 5 million volts, even 10 million volts.

I have done my research and I want to be as honest and truthful with my friends and clients about what I have learned about stun guns.

First of all, it is very difficult to measure these guns beyond 1 million volts.

In the spirit of competition, the manufacturers (especially from China) started raising the voltage claims on the box in an attempt to 'out do' their competition.

Often it would be the exact same model that used to say 1 million volts, and they change the packaging to say 4 million volts.

As I list stun guns for sale on my site, I will include the manufacturers specs that they give me. But know that, it's not the volts that knocks them down, it's the amps.

I have learned that the components, battery and safety features are what determines the quality and the price of the unit.

For this reason I am only going to sell the good quality, dependable type units.

I really prefer the units with the wrist strap shut off feature. If someone takes the stun gun out of your hand, the post attached to the wrist ban detaches and disables the unit.

Let's face it, there is nothing worse than getting shocked with your own stun gun.

If by the grace of God you can get your unit back in your hand, you snap that post back in place, and you are ready to rock somebody's world.

I realize there are 'cheaper' models available. But I would rather know I am selling you a stun gun you can count on should you ever need to use it.

If you want a cheap stun gun, don't waste your money.
